What are Promise Rings?
A promise ring is a token of signifying intentions. It ranges from a vow of chastity from a daughter to a father, a commitment to be faithful to a partner, an intention of engagement withstanding circumstances, a declaration of friendship.
Promises are a moment of understanding between two persons and a promise ring is given to cement the bond that two persons have decided to fulfill. A promise ring is also a reminder of the common aim that these two persons have committed to pursue.
Basically, promise rings are tokens of declarations. It may not necessarily be the prelude to engagement. So, if you’ve found the girl you want to marry, but just cant take the plunge to a more serious engaged-to-be-married relationship, a promise ring may signify your earnest intentions.
