Dec 2007 - Starry Designs

Cindy of Starry Designs is a self-taught jewelry artist and had always wanted a job that is not in a typical office setting. She had managed to make her dream come true end December 2005.
Her designs involve the use of white and pastels with an occasional mix of bold, dull and warm colors. Metals used are mostly sterling silver and gold filled. Sporadically she throws in some vermeil, brass and copper. She loves mixing components with oxidized findings to bring out the color.
Most of the beads used are semi-precious stones and pearls. She is slowly adopting the use of precious gemstones. Swarovski glass pearls are one of her favorites because of the wide variety of long lasting colors. Vintage components delight her too.
Her inspiration comes from the warm feeling she gets from my loved ones and surroundings. She is also deeply influenced by beautiful Mother Nature, and great sights from traveling. Her favorite influence is of the various colors of flowers, clouds, trees and the sky.
Handmade items are made with love and are of a unique nature. You know that you are supporting someone's expertise in a particular skill and dream to do something that they love. You and the maker benefit directly from each other when you buy handmade. Cindy learned to appreciate handmade items over the years and hopes that many others will learn to appreciate handmade items too.
